Frequently asked questions
Does the Machinery Regulation really apply without a transition period?
Yes. From 20 January 2027, Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 governs every placing on the market. Machinery lawfully placed on the market before that date under Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC may continue to be operated and made available.
What changes for the operating manual?
The manual may be supplied digitally — for example via a QR code on the machine. Conditions: access without special software, availability for the expected lifetime of the machine (at least 10 years) and a paper copy free of charge on request.
Is a PDF on our website enough?
